First K6 Assembly

On Sunday 10/25/09 the club assembled the Ka6CR for the first time. Club Safety Officer Bill King documented the assembly process. After the K6 & K7 were assembled we pulled everything to the south end of the field. There was a nice cool north wind bowing right down the runway. Bill took the K6 up for a test flight. Before the day was over Bill, Freddie, Rick and Calvin had taken a turn. The K6 is a joy to fly with light controls, comfortable cockpit and is very quiet. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Club Ka6 Purchase

Sunday afternoon, October 8th, Rick, Frank, Gitta and Freddie drove to Harnett County to complete the purchase of our club K6. We met Mr. Henshaw at the airport around 15:30 and proceeded to hook the trailer up to the Durango. After spending some time trying to diagnose a trailer tail light issue we decided to drive back without lights. We drove up to the FBO to finish up the paperwork and then hit the road.
